Pokemon Trading Card Game

The Pokémon Trading Card Game (Pokémon TCG) is a tabletop card game where players build decks of Pokémon-themed cards to compete against each other. The rules are inspired by the Pokémon video games — but the TCG has grown its own competitive scene, its own tournaments, and its own legendary chase cards.

Since the original Base Set released on October 20, 1996, the TCG has become a hallmark of the Pokémon franchise across nearly three decades. Cards fall into three main types: Pokémon Cards featuring individual Pokémon, Trainer Cards featuring characters and items from the animated series, and Energy Cards which fuel your attacks.

Some collect them, some compete with them, some do both. Whichever camp you fall into — welcome.
