The Pokemon Anime

Pokemon originally launched as a Japanese anime television series in April 1997, and has since been adapted for audiences worldwide. Pokémania has been in full swing ever since — spanning more than 20 seasons and paving the way for more than 20 feature-length movies.

The series ties in directly with the main Pokemon video games — sharing storylines, regions, and featured Pokémon throughout its long run.
