Synopsis
Ash struggles to recover from his loss to Paul until his Pokémon lift his spirits, while Brock glimpses the spirit of Uxie at Lake Acuity. As Nurse Joy treats Ash’s bandaged team, Dawn decides to put on a Pokémon circus to cheer him up, and Team Rocket, disguised as cleaners, decide a gloomy Ash will be easy prey.
Fetching Cheri Berries for the slowly recovering Monferno, Brock sees a shadow he believes is Uxie. Ash, replaying his defeats, is found by his Pokémon, and their group hug restores his fighting spirit. The friends read that Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf hatched from one Egg and represent wisdom, emotion and willpower, just like Brock, Dawn and Ash.
Team Rocket interrupt Dawn’s show and trap Pikachu in an electricity-proof net, but Ash’s team fight back, and Monferno’s Mach Punch frees Pikachu. A combined barrage of Aqua Jet, Aerial Ace, Energy Ball, X-Scissor, Flamethrower and Quick Attack blasts Team Rocket away. Ash is himself again, and Dawn plans for her next Contest in Lilypad Town.
