Synopsis
Ash and a photographer named Robert search a fog-bound mountain for the spring where Robert’s grandfather once photographed four Sawsbuck from four different seasons standing together. At a Pokémon Center, Robert shows the group his grandfather’s album and explains his dream of taking the same picture, and Ash and his friends join him on the mountain.
Robert’s Swoobat looks for rare flowers while the group chases a wild Summer Form Deerling, until a dense fog separates Ash, Pikachu and Robert from Iris and Cilan. Robert pulls Pikachu away from two Amoonguss lying in wait, Swoobat calms the Deerling with a sound wave, and the pair follow it to a huge tree from the old photographs before camping for the night.
The next morning the Deerling leads them on, but Robert is hit by the Amoonguss’s Poison Powder while saving it. As Ash carries him through the thickening fog, a Summer Form Sawsbuck guides them to the spring, whose water cures Robert, and the Sawsbuck of all four seasons gather across the water. Robert’s photo comes out blurry, and back with their friends they learn that only ten minutes have passed for Iris and Cilan.
