Synopsis
Bianca and Professor Juniper trade Shelmet and Karrablast, and both Pokémon evolve, though Bianca’s new Escavalier will not listen to her. A test battle between the shy Shelmet and Juniper’s Karrablast is cut short when the recording equipment and then the trade machine break down. In Chargestone Cave the group finds the cause: a distressed Klinklang with a pen jammed in its gears, which Juniper removes after soothing it with a sound device.
The trade goes ahead. Juniper’s Shelmet evolves into Accelgor and Bianca’s Karrablast into Escavalier, which chases its new Trainer around. In a Double Battle against Juniper and Bianca, Boldore and Crustle face Accelgor and the disobedient Escavalier, which calms only when Accelgor shields it with Substitute.
Accelgor and Escavalier knock out Boldore with Hyper Beam, but Crustle uses Shell Smash and two Rock Wreckers to defeat both, giving Ash and Cilan the win, and Bianca finally manages to command Escavalier. As the data is recorded, an exhausted man staggers out of Chargestone Cave and collapses, and Juniper recognises him as her father, Cedric Juniper.
