Synopsis

While shopping in Steelbound Town, Dot meets a crybaby Tinkatink that forges her pink microphone into a hammer, defends it when the crew suspects it of eating Orla’s iron, and catches it after she and Quaxly defeat the real culprit, an Orthworm. Dot’s Nidothing stream collapses when her computer falls apart, and when Liko rushes to check on her, Dot opens the door in costume, so Liko covers her eyes and tries to convince herself nobody is inside. Friede decides to restock in Steelbound Town, known for industrial goods, where Orla can buy iron for repairs, and Dot surprises everyone by coming along to buy a new microphone. When Liko and Roy wander off, Dot, holding a pink microphone she wants as a video prop, is too proud to call them, and watches a tearful Tinkatink trip while trying to take an iron hammer from a worker. Dot hands the hammer back, and Tinkatink grabs the pink microphone and beats it into a new hammer of its own.

Dot reunites with her friends, pointing out that it was they who got lost, while Tinkatink, delighted with her new hammer, follows. Something tunnels beneath the ship, frightening Maushold and devouring the iron bars Orla bought, and Orla demands an explanation. Tinkatink sneaks aboard but is frightened by Muk, Slugma, Carkol and the shadows of Elekid and Metagross until Dot finds her on the stairs and is thrilled that she likes the hammer. Overhearing that Tinkatink makes hammers from iron, Murdock concludes that she stole Orla’s iron, and a chase through the ship ends with Tinkatink crying in the hold. Dot rushes in to defend her, pointing out the large hole in the hull, and Friede agrees: the iron scraps bear bite marks, and Tinkatink does not eat iron.

Before Friede can name the culprit, an Orthworm bursts through the wall, snatches Tinkatink’s hammer and burrows away, and Dot leaps into the hole after them. Orthworm cuts the ship’s anchor, forcing Friede and Charizard to catch the line, swallows the hammer and dodges Quaxly’s Water Gun by burrowing. Noticing that it avoids wet sand, Dot has Quaxly ring it with Water Gun until it is trapped, and Quaxly’s Pound makes it spit out the hammer, which Tinkatink slams into Orthworm, driving it off. At sunset, as the others say goodbye, Tinkatink starts crying again; Quaxly hands Dot a Poké Ball, and Tinkatink happily taps the button with her hammer, joining Dot’s team as Murdock weeps at how fast his niece is growing up. When Nidothing introduces Tinkatink on her resumed stream, Tinkatink pulls down the costume’s zipper, and Quaxly frantically switches off the camera.
