Synopsis

Back in Paldea, Liko, Roy and Dot must beat Geeta in a three-on-one battle to win permission to enter Area Zero, and they defeat her Glimmora and Glimmet when a final Magical Leaf, powered by Overgrow, brings down the Terastallized Glimmora. The episode opens mid-battle, with Liko explaining how they got there. At the Pokémon League, Rika greets the group with a tense stare before admitting she was teasing and taking them to Geeta, who has heard of the Entei sighting in the Great Crater. The friends recount their search for Lucius’s six Pokémon and their failed hunt in Johto, and ask to enter the crater. Geeta grants access only to Friede because of the dangerous Paradox Pokémon there, but when the trio plead, citing their promise to bring Pagogo to Laqua, she proposes a battle: if the three of them beat her, all four may enter. On the League rooftop, with Penny, Friede, Captain Pikachu and the Elite Four watching, Geeta warns that she never holds back and sends out Glimmora and two Glimmet, Pokémon from the very place they want to go.

The Glimmet raise their Speed with Rock Polish and dodge Stomping Tantrum, so the trio target Glimmora, whose Dazzling Gleam blocks their attacks and blinds them while the Glimmet hit back with Power Gem. Crocalor’s Disarming Voice, which never misses, strikes both Glimmet; Quaxwell’s Liquidation is hurt by Spiky Shield; and Floragato’s Sucker Punch on Glimmora triggers its Toxic Debris Ability, scattering Toxic Spikes that poison all three partners, after which the Glimmet’s Venoshock hits harder. As Liko and Dot falter, Roy reminds them they have never given up and suggests the tactic that beat Kleavor: Quaxwell’s Water Gun provokes a Dazzling Gleam, Floragato dodges the Power Gems and binds both Glimmet in her vines, and Crocalor’s super-effective Stomping Tantrum knocks them out. But both Glimmet use Memento as they faint, sharply lowering Crocalor’s and Quaxwell’s attack. Seeing that Geeta will use any strategy to win, Liko decides to do the same.

During an all-out assault on Glimmora, Floragato surprises everyone by using Sucker Punch on Crocalor, and his next Stomping Tantrum hits Glimmora hard despite his lowered Attack, which Roy and Dot realise was Liko’s plan all along. Geeta then Terastallizes Glimmora into a pure Rock type and the trio Terastallize their partners; Crocalor and Quaxwell try to shield the struggling Floragato from Tera Blast with Flamethrower and Water Gun and are knocked out, and Floragato, hit too, survives as her Overgrow Ability activates. Her final, powerful flurry of Magical Leaf overwhelms Glimmora’s next Tera Blast and knocks it out. Geeta admits defeat and grants them entry, the Elite Four congratulate them, and Penny escorts them to the Zero Gate. Meanwhile, Hamber sends Coral and Sidian by helicopter to spy on the Rising Volt Tacklers in Area Zero, persuading the frustrated Coral to cooperate by praising her aggressiveness and Sidian’s composed judgement, and the two descend into the Great Crater on Glalie and Aerodactyl.
