Bulbasaur… the Ambassador! is the 16th episode of Pokémon: Master Quest, the fifth season of the Pokémon anime, and the 225th episode of the English dub overall (Japanese episode 227, Bulbapedia code EP225). It first aired in Japan on 22 November 2001 and in the United States on 23 September 2002. It falls within the season’s Back to Olivine: the Mineral Badge stretch (EP223–EP225).

Premiered out of story order as part of Kids’ WB’s weekday premiere week, on Monday 23 September 2002 — a week after the season opener and months ahead of the episodes around it.

Synopsis

Ash and company, and Team Rocket are on their way to Ecruteak City, but the real story centers on Bulbasaur helping to handle territorial disputes among the pokémon living in the gardens of Oak’s research facilities. For the most part, Bulbasaur is able to solve the problem, but disputes keep breaking out requiring Bulbasaur to stay indefinitely.
