Synopsis

While having breakfast with Claire on the terrace of a hotel, Ash and company are being spied on by Team Rocket who are so impressed with Ash’s badges, they plan to steal them. Meanwhile the mystery pokémon snatches Jessie’s donuts and Wobbuffet gets the blame again. A little later, Team Rocket tricks Ash and swipes the badges. They give the badges to Wobbuffet for safekeeping while they finish dealing with Ash.
Wobbuffet finds the meeting place and waits. He then notices some berry trees nearby. Wishing to get out of trouble for the disappearing donut holes, Wobbuffet picks some berries and puts them in the case with the badges and sits down to continue waiting. Out from the bushes blue arms grab the case full of berries, and Wobbuffet tries to stop the theft. Now the thief is revealed to be a whynaut. Team Rocket fails to understand Wobbuffet, but guess that it was a wooper that stole the badges and start looking for woopers. Spotting one, they immediately assume it is the thief and give chase.
While Team Rocket is on a wild wooper chase. Claire, Misty, and Brock help Ash look for Team Rocket. Ash releases Bayleef and Noctowl to help look as well. Bayleef finds the whynaut and the missing badges. Team Rocket manage to get the badges, and escapes in their balloon. Ash has Noctowl take Pikachu after the balloon and send Team Rocket packing. The badges and the case go flying through the air and everyone tries to grab for the badges. Ash misses seeing the whynaut searching for the last badge. The rest of the search party catches up to him and are relieved that he found all of his badges. The next morning Claire points out the road to take and give directions on how to get to their next destination, New Bark Town.
