Gone Corphishin’ is the 23rd episode of Pokémon: Advanced, the sixth season of the Pokémon anime, and the 296th episode of the English dub overall (Japanese episode 299, Bulbapedia code AG023). It first aired in Japan on 1 May 2003 and in the United States on 21 February 2004. It falls within the season’s Dewford Island I: Brawly, Steven & Corphish stretch (EP19–EP24).
Synopsis
Ash and company set up camp only to be under constant attack from a mysterious pokémon. The pokémon turns out to be a corphish which Ash becomes determined to catch.
Observation: While Max points out a trainer is only allowed one pokémon per contest, May could train both at the same time, and switch between them each contest.
