Noodles! Roamin’ Off! is the 13th episode of Pokémon DP: Galactic Battles, the twelfth season of the Pokémon anime, and the 580th episode of the English dub overall (Japanese episode 584, Bulbapedia code DP117). It first aired in Japan on 5 March 2009 and in the United States on 1 August 2009. It falls within the season’s Chocovine & Dawn’s fourth Ribbon stretch (EP112–EP117).
Synopsis
Team Rocket break up after Meowth is offered a job making noodles by Christopher, a former Team Rocket Academy junior who now runs a successful ramen chain. After another failed attempt on Pikachu, the trio stop at a noodle shop, where Meowth’s claws accidentally cut perfect noodles and Christopher invites him to work for him.
A noodle-themed mecha fails, Jessie and James blame Meowth, and he quits to become a noodle master; Jessie leaves to concentrate on Contests, leaving James alone. Hoping to impress Giovanni, James sets out to catch a rare Shiny Metagross on a nearby mountain, but hikers warn Jessie that it is dangerous and that James is in trouble.
On the mountain, Metagross overwhelms James’s Pokémon, and Jessie’s Yanmega and Seviper arrive to rescue him, only to be trapped as well. Meowth flies in with the balloon, attacks Metagross, and the reunited trio escape together. Far away, Dawn wishes on a shooting star, and Ash suspects it was really Team Rocket blasting off.
