The Brockster Is In! is the 33rd episode of Pokémon DP: Sinnoh League Victors, the thirteenth season of the Pokémon anime, and the 652nd episode of the English dub overall (Japanese episode 657, Bulbapedia code DP190). It first aired in Japan on 2 September 2010 and in the United States on 29 January 2011. It falls within the season’s The semi-final & farewells stretch (EP189–EP191).
Synopsis
On the ferry back to Twinleaf Town, Brock saves a Day Care’s poisoned baby Pokémon and decides to become a Pokémon Doctor, as his Happiny evolves into Chansey. Brock is quietly questioning his future while the friends discuss parting ways, and a Day Care trainee named Normajean comes aboard with a swarm of baby Pokémon.
Team Rocket steal a rare bottle cap from a group of Tentacruel, which chase their submarine into the ship, swarm aboard and poison Pikachu and the babies, Pichu worst of all. Brock throws the cap into the sea to lure the Tentacruel away, cures Pikachu with a Pecha Berry, and treats the patients with berry medicine and a ground-up Lava Cookie, while Dawn’s Pokémon make ice to cool them.
When Pichu refuses Brock’s berry drink, Happiny evolves into Chansey, learns Soft-Boiled and heals it. Nurse Joy tells Brock he could become a Pokémon Doctor, and he begins to picture that future. Team Rocket escape by hooking a Tentacruel, and at sunset Dawn spots her mother waiting on the Twinleaf dock.
