Synopsis
A charming Purrloin wraps Meowth, Oshawott and Iris around its paw while stealing the group’s food, until its Trainer Misha reveals who it really is. The Purrloin has already raided a Tranquill nest when it knocks Meowth over in the forest and, through Meowth’s translation, begs for help rescuing a friend trapped in a cave.
Oshawott and Pikachu fend off the angry Tranquill flock as Meowth and Oshawott compete for Purrloin’s attention, and it sneaks off with Ash’s Sitrus Berries. It leads the others into an abandoned mine, takes Ash’s backpack and runs off as the old scaffolding collapses, while Cilan, waiting outside, meets Misha, who has been searching for her runaway Purrloin.
Inside, Misha and Purrloin reconcile just as a landslide sweeps everyone away. Snivy grabs a rope and Excadrill and Pansage help, and when the rope snaps, the Tranquill flock Purrloin has summoned rescues them. Meowth and Oshawott make one last romantic attempt and discover that Purrloin is male, while Dr. Zager’s mobile lab arrives in Anville Town.
