Synopsis
Sent to Milos Island to gather Revival Herbs for Clay, Ash, Iris and Cilan arrive just as Team Rocket’s sabotage unleashes a battle between Tornadus and Thundurus. Clay again refuses Ash’s challenge but promises a battle if Ash brings him the herbs, and Charles tells the group that they grow on the island of legends, where a man named Lewis finds his Revival Herbs dead.
Lewis, whose Lilligant lies sick, explains that all the island’s Grass-type Pokémon are ailing, and recounts the legend: Landorus once stopped Tornadus and Thundurus from fighting and, healed by a Gothorita with Revival Herbs, restored the land. When Lewis and his Gothorita appeal at Landorus’s shrine, Tornadus bursts out, and lightning soon frees Thundurus from its own shrine, whose wedge Team Rocket have destroyed.
The two Legendaries resume their ancient rivalry, overpowering Pansage, Snivy, Excadrill, Axew, Pikachu and Stunfisk while Team Rocket wait for them to tire. As forest fires spread and the sea rises, Lewis tells Iris that only she can call Landorus. Dressed as a shrine maiden, she prays at its obelisk while Gothorita amplifies her plea with four orbs, and Landorus’s silhouette begins to appear.
