Synopsis
Ash wins the Jet Badge from Skyla when his Tranquill evolves into Unfezant in the middle of the battle. Skyla is sure she can predict the outcome of Ash’s chosen team of Tranquill, Krokorok and Pikachu, but the next day she makes a dramatic entrance, fired from a cannon and gliding through balloon hoops, before a large crowd.
Swoobat uses Gust to send Krokorok’s Stone Edge back at it and wins with Air Cutter, but Tranquill brings Swoobat down with Air Cutter. Skyla’s Unfezant tires Tranquill with its height advantage, so Ash switches to Pikachu, who waits for Aerial Ace and counters with Iron Tail and Electro Ball. Swanna, however, blocks Pikachu’s attacks with Aqua Ring, a tactic Skyla learned from Miles’s old battles, and defeats Pikachu even after it bounces off the hoops with Quick Attack.
Back in the battle, Tranquill is slammed to the ground by Hurricane and evolves into Unfezant. Faster than before, Unfezant learns Aerial Ace and uses it to knock Swanna out. Skyla admits that results depend on both Trainer and Pokémon, promises to return to traditional Gym battles, apologises to Miles and gives Ash his sixth Badge, pointing him towards Icirrus City.
