Lost at the League! is the 8th episode of Pokémon: BW Adventures in Unova and Beyond, the sixteenth season of the Pokémon anime, and the 758th episode of the English dub overall (Japanese episode 763, Bulbapedia code BW105). It first aired in Japan on 6 December 2012 and in the United States on 23 March 2013. It falls within the season’s The Vertress Conference stretch (EP103–EP108).
Synopsis
On a rest day at the Vertress Conference, Iris’s Axew gets lost in the festival crowds and Ash’s Pokémon must find him before Ash’s match against Stephan. Scraggy’s Headbutt has just beaten a Darumaka to put Ash in the last sixteen, but while Bianca buys a Casteliacone, Axew chases a balloon and is swept along by the supporters of Russet, the first Trainer from his hometown to reach the top sixteen.
Pikachu, Oshawott, Scraggy and Emolga split up to search. Oshawott gobbles a box of apples left for wild Trubbish, and a Garbodor leads the furious Trubbish after him just as the Pokémon find Axew in the woods. Gunk Shot and Acid Spray drive them to a cliff edge, and Ash, Iris and Cilan arrive only to be knocked over it.
Virgil’s Espeon catches them with Psychic, Umbreon blocks another Gunk Shot, and a Soothe Bell finally calms Garbodor. The group brings the Trubbish plenty of food, Oshawott apologises, and everyone watches the fireworks. The next morning Stephan opens his match against Ash with a Liepard.
