Synopsis

Chloe and Eevee have a dreamlike storybook adventure in Galar’s Glimwood Tangle, helping a Galarian Ponyta heal an injured Rapidash, while Ash and Goh are quizzed by Opal. At the Cerise Laboratory after school, Chloe reads in her father’s office while he works, and a book titled The Tale of You and Glimwood Tangle slides off the shelf by itself and opens to a picture of a Galarian Ponyta and Rapidash. Chloe has a vision of the two Pokémon, and when Professor Cerise and Ren explain that they are regional forms, she sets off for Galar with Ash and Goh. In the glowing forest of giant mushrooms, Ash and Goh chase a Morelull, which Goh catches after Cinderace blocks its escape, while Chloe follows a Galarian Ponyta. Only then do the boys realise that Chloe has disappeared.

The Ponyta leads Chloe down into a ravine where a Rapidash lies with an injured leg, too badly hurt for Ponyta’s Heal Pulse to mend. Remembering from her book that the dew of a certain flower has healing powers, Chloe sets out with Eevee and Ponyta to find it. Meanwhile Ash and Goh follow distant lights to the town of Ballonlea and shelter from the rain under a giant mushroom, where they meet the Gym Leader Opal, who insists on quizzing them before she will help find Chloe and dresses them in pink clothing for every wrong answer. Climbing a cliff, Eevee slips and bruises itself; Ponyta heals it with Heal Pulse, and Eevee copies the move with Copycat to treat a scrape on Chloe’s arm. Near the flowers, a trio of Impidimp snatch Chloe’s backpack and taunt her, and when Eevee mimics their faces they pelt the group with Bluk Berries.

Realising the Impidimp only want to play, Chloe, Eevee and Ponyta join in and throw Berries back, and after the game, as the friends wash off the stains in a pond, the Impidimp fetch the healing dew for her. Back in the ravine, Rapidash drinks the dew and its leg heals, and Ponyta and Eevee restore its stamina with Heal Pulse. Rapidash lets Chloe ride on its back while Eevee rides Ponyta, and they carry them to Ballonlea, where Ash, Goh, Pikachu and Cinderace are now completely covered in pink. When the boys walk towards Chloe, the startled horse Pokémon gallop away. Chloe and Eevee then wake up in Cerise’s office, the book still unfinished, as Ash and Goh arrive with Goh’s Morelull to say that her father has finished his work. As Chloe leaves, the book’s pages turn by themselves to an illustration of a Ponyta, a Rapidash, an Eevee and a girl.
