Keeping In Top Forme! is the 11th episode of Pokémon DP: Sinnoh League Victors, the thirteenth season of the Pokémon anime, and the 630th episode of the English dub overall (Japanese episode 635, Bulbapedia code DP168). It first aired in Japan on 18 March 2010 and in the United States on 14 August 2010. It falls within the season’s The road to Lake Valor stretch (EP167–EP173).
Premiered on 14 August 2010 in its Japanese position. Because the schedule had listed the next episode by its Japanese title before this one had an English title, some viewers wrongly thought it had been skipped; on Pokémon.com and the English DVDs it is episode 12, after the Ranger special.
Synopsis
Brock escorts a mysterious girl named Marley over the mountain so that the poisoned Shaymin in her care can reach a Gracidea flower. Brock first rescues Marley from a boat drifting towards a waterfall, and she quietly explains that “very bad people” are chasing her.
Marley has been protecting Shaymin from Team Rocket, and her Arcanine has already driven them off once. Brock cures the coughing Shaymin with Pecha and Sitrus Berries, and it repays the group by using Seed Flare and Aromatherapy to heal Pikachu and Piplup after a Shroomish’s Poison Powder. At the Gracidea garden the flowers are dead, but Brock spots a single sprout on a huge rock.
Team Rocket attack in a Caterpie mecha, then a Butterfree mecha that fires a robotic Solar Beam. Shaymin climbs to the blooming Gracidea, transforms into its Sky Forme and slices the mecha apart with Air Slash, blasting Team Rocket off. Two more Shaymin arrive and change Forme beside a new bloom, and Marley lets her friend fly away with them.
