Synopsis
Meowth falls in love with a girl’s Glameow and deserts Team Rocket for it, until it evolves into a Purugly. Separated from Jessie and James, Meowth is nursed back to health by Mamie and her Glameow; back with the trio, he suggests catching Glameow for Giovanni while secretly planning to keep her.
Team Rocket ambush Ash’s group and Mamie, who has just lost to Crasher Wake, with a collapsing bridge, steal Glameow’s Poké Ball and soak the heroes in the river. That night Meowth releases Glameow, claims Team Rocket forced him to kidnap her, and floats off downriver with her in a moonlit boat, leaving a resignation note.
At dawn everyone gives chase. Cornered, Meowth defends Glameow with furious Fury Swipes that down Seviper, Yanmega, Infernape, Staraptor and Togekiss alike. Then Glameow evolves into a demanding Purugly that kicks dirt at him, and his crush evaporates. Mamie’s Purugly blasts Team Rocket off with Hyper Beam, Meowth returns to his teammates, and Mamie heads for the Pastoria Gym.
