Synopsis
In Area 28, a town famous for UFO sightings, Ash’s group help the eccentric researcher Professor Icarus protect a shy Elgyem from Team Rocket. A glowing light wakes the travellers one night, and at a diner they hear that visitors to Icarus’s home suffer headaches and visions of outer space, so Cilan, a fan of his work, leads the way over the mountain.
On the way the friends share visions, including one of Ash falling through a bridge just before a plank breaks. Icarus warms to Cilan’s praise, and when everyone sees a vision of his lab exploding, they rush in and, helped by an unseen Pokémon’s Telekinesis, pull the plug on his overloading UFO. The helper is an Elgyem that hides behind Icarus.
Team Rocket arrive disguised as scientists, trap the group with electricity and capture Elgyem, tracking it even after it Teleports. Dwebble frees it with X-Scissor, Pikachu’s Electro Ball wrecks their airship, and Elgyem saves Icarus’s falling UFO with Telekinesis. It shows Icarus that it wants to stay with him.
