Synopsis
As Liko gets to know the curious, newly awakened Terapagos and nearly falls from the Brave Olivine saving it, Diana entrusts her with Lucius’s belt, and the Rising Volt Tacklers resolve to find the remaining Six Heroes so that Terapagos can reach Laqua. With her castle in ruins, Diana stays aboard the airship, but Terapagos will not eat the Pokémon food served to the others and soon vanishes; after a frantic search, Liko finds it on its back in the cargo hold beside a toppled crate of Oran Berries, its preferred food. Deciding to learn about Terapagos by watching it closely, she fills her Rotom Pad with doodles: it stays calm even when Captain Pikachu scolds it, adores sweets enough to face-plant into Murdock’s cake, and is always looking for something new. When it interrupts one of Dot’s Nidothing videos, Dot, in costume to Liko’s embarrassment, explains that everything is new to a Pokémon that has slept for decades, and Liko resolves to teach it about the modern world.
When Terapagos wanders off again, a jealous Sprigatito refuses to help, but Hatenna leads Liko to the front of the ship, where Terapagos stands calling out until its strong emotions overwhelm Hatenna and Liko has to recall it. Sudden turbulence threatens to throw Terapagos overboard, and with no time to call Friede, Liko climbs out onto the bow and grabs its hand; Diana, woken by Sprigatito ramming the observation deck door, arrives on Arcanine and saves them both. Liko apologises for her recklessness, but Diana sees it as a sign of her caring nature, says that Liko may have awakened Terapagos and has already surpassed her, and shows her Lucius’s memoir, with a picture of Terapagos in a different form and a photograph of Lucius, the man from Liko’s visions.
Diana suggests that finding the remaining Six Heroes will restore Terapagos’s true power and open the way to Laqua. Liko concludes that Terapagos wants to see Lucius again, though after a hundred years that seems impossible, and resolves to take it to Laqua all the same. Diana gives her Lucius’s belt to wear, adding that Terapagos responded to her because she connects with Pokémon and that meeting Sprigatito helped her best qualities blossom; Liko thanks Sprigatito on the captain’s deck, reflecting that feelings can reach Pokémon without words. In the meeting room, Liko asks the crew to help her find the Six Heroes, and Roy and Friede agree. Entei seems out of reach, Kleavor lived in ancient Hisui and has not been seen for ages, and leads on Lapras are thin, but Dot has reports of the Black Rayquaza in Galar. On the Explorers’ submarine, Zirc and Onia wonder what is troubling the brooding Amethio.
