Synopsis

When a false tip about the Black Rayquaza leaves Dot blaming herself, Liko drags her along on an outing to the Wild Area that ends with Dot’s first-ever curry, while the Explorers decide to make Rayquaza their priority. Dot turns down Liko and Roy’s request for a battle, too busy gathering information, and Mollie advises a worried Liko that dwelling on every outcome can mean doing nothing, and that sometimes it is best to face a problem directly. In the Wild Area, home to more species than anywhere else in Galar, Roy mistakes an Onix for Rayquaza and wonders whether Terapagos could sense the Legendary. When he calls Dot, she appears right behind them. At the lake from her tip, no one is waiting; Dot wants to go back to the ship, blaming herself for past mistakes that put Liko in danger, and her frustration frightens Hatenna into running off. The children find it by the shore, where a huge Drednaw rises from the water and, to the surprise of an Ingredients Seller, turns out to be friendly.

At Explorers headquarters, Coral floats around on Glalie until she crashes into Garganacl and Sidian scolds her lack of self-control, and Spinel reveals that he fed Dot the false information once again. Murdock prepares curry with the Seller’s ingredients, but Dot says she has her own food and admits she has never eaten curry, which so shocks Liko and Roy that Liko insists on making Dot her first one. Noticing that Liko cuts her vegetables into big chunks while Roy dices his finely, Murdock proposes a curry battle. Liko takes Dot to gather Pecha Berries while Roy collects Cheri Berries, but a Greedent tricks Fuecoco into handing over its Berries and summons a swarm of Skwovet; Quaxly’s Water Gun drives them off, though the Greedent escapes with the Cheri Berries.

Dot stirs the pot as best she can and blushes when the others tell her to add love as the final ingredient. Both curries are delicious, the contest ends in a draw, and Dot admits she has always eaten only for nutrition and has missed out on a lot; Liko reassures her that they can learn together. Meanwhile, Zirc and Onia watch a Nidothing video, and the admins discuss how the pendant became Terapagos and contacted three of the Six Heroes. Sidian and Coral want to attack the Tacklers, but Spinel argues for observation, and Amethio, insisting that it was Rayquaza, not Terapagos, that awakened Arboliva and Moltres, proposes making Rayquaza their priority, and the others agree. On the way back, Liko admits she pushed Dot to cheer her up after Spinel’s trick, and Dot confesses she has been hard on herself. Back aboard, Roy suggests asking about the Ancient Poké Balls, and Diana knows an antique dealer who might identify them.
