Synopsis
Diana prepares to leave the Brave Olivine, and the crew throws her a farewell party, while at Explorers headquarters Amethio trains against Hamber, learns that the Explorers seek Laqua, and receives a Tera Orb, and the Rising Volt Tacklers set course for Paldea. Diana asks Friede to look after Terapagos, and Friede decides to return to Paldea, where ancient records mention Terapagos and where it may be linked to the Terastal phenomenon. Liko and Roy overhear Diana asking to be dropped at the next port; Liko brushes off her sadness, since her grandmother has always been this way, and Roy suggests a farewell party. Iono calls Dot to thank her for promoting the Terastal Cap and, seeing that Dot’s friends want her at the party, asks Liko to look after her. At headquarters, Amethio reports that the Black Rayquaza seemed to be testing him, and Gibeon reminds him that Rayquaza and Terapagos are essential to reaching Laqua, his paradise.
Amethio asks Hamber to train him. His Ceruledge opens with Psycho Cut against Hamber’s Dusknoir, which seems to have no blind spots: it answers Night Slash with Shadow Punch, seizes Ceruledge’s arms during Bitter Blade and plucks it out of Phantom Force. But Ceruledge’s Psycho Cuts begin cutting through the Shadow Balls, it entangles Dusknoir’s arm and, with a second Phantom Force, knocks it down. Impressed, Hamber Terastallizes Dusknoir into a Ghost type, and although Bitter Blade slices through its empowered Shadow Ball, a Shadow Punch knocks Ceruledge out; Amethio immediately asks for a rematch. Hamber praises his growth and gives him a Tera Orb of his own, and Amethio resolves to master Terastallization. Spinel and Chalce, who have data on Terapagos’s resonance, decide to pursue Rayquaza on their own.
At sunset, Arcanine leads Diana to the meeting room, where the party is waiting with a cake topped with Alcremie’s cream. Friede accidentally sips Sinistea’s tea and Murdock collapses after drinking Polteageist’s, and Dot presents a video of Diana’s time with the crew, from the escape at the castle to curry in the Wild Area and the trouble with Tepen, ending with the training battle, and Diana is moved to learn that Dot did most of the work. Washing dishes, Liko thanks her grandmother for the pendant, saying that the first step was the hardest but that since then she has found new horizons, courage and friends. On the observation deck, Diana says Liko has rekindled her own desire for adventure and gives her adventure log to her granddaughter, who gives her a bracelet she made with Ann’s help. After dropping Diana at port, the Rising Volt Tacklers set course for Paldea to find the remaining Six Heroes.
