Synopsis
In Galar the children find Orla working at a Poké Ball factory and refusing ever to fly again — until they learn that she has secretly kept the Brave Olivine intact, and the Explorers Indi and Rubina arrive to collect an order of Strong Sphere shells. Orla now works for Karna, an old friend who runs a small Poké Ball factory, and Karna is rushing an unusual order due the next day that she would rather not fill, since making Poké Balls is her real passion. Liko, Roy, Dot and Ult arrive, Karna greets her old friends warmly, and Ult insists from behind a bush that they explain why they have come. Liko, Roy and Dot ask Orla to build a new airship so they can respond quickly to Laquium sightings, but Orla flatly refuses ever to work on an airship again and goes back inside. Captain Pikachu then leads Liko, Roy and Dot into the forest, leaving Ult behind after he collapses from drinking Sinistea’s prank tea.
Deep in the woods they find the Brave Olivine, not dismantled after all, with wild Pokémon living aboard. Karna explains that a year ago Orla landed there alone and asked to work at her factory; after hearing about Mount Pericarp and the team’s break-up, Karna realised that Orla kept the ship so the wild Pokémon would have a home, and she believes Orla is hiding her true feelings. The next day, walking through the forest, Orla remembers Friede asking her to build an airship and the moment she watched him blown away. At the ship, the children apologise for going inside and ask what she really thinks, and Orla snaps that nothing matters now that Friede is gone. Liko answers that restarting their adventure does not feel like Friede is gone at all: investigating Laquium, keeping their promise to Lucius and getting back the truth are the path he would have taken. Seeing Cap sitting in his usual spot, Orla realises she has been so stuck on the past that she never thought about the future.
An explosion rings out. Encouraged by Metagross and Elekid, Orla follows the children to the factory, where Ult is trying to drive away two Exceed employees who have come to collect the rush order — the outer shells of Strong Spheres. They insist the spheres passed every safety check, the children counter that the Laquium inside harms Pokémon, and Karna refuses to continue, declaring that she will never make anything that hurts Pokémon when she started making Poké Balls to connect Trainers with their partners. Two Explorers, Indi and Rubina, step forward and dismiss the children’s claims, then recognise the names Liko and Roy and decide that the Rising Volt Tacklers are meddling again. Indi sends out an Aqua Breed Paldean Tauros and Rubina a Blaze Breed one; both use Strong Spheres and prepare to battle in order to take the shells and stop the group. The episode ends as the battle begins. With these two Tauros, every Paldean form has now appeared in the anime.
