Beating the Bustle and Hustle! is the 30th episode of Pokémon DP: Galactic Battles, the twelfth season of the Pokémon anime, and the 597th episode of the English dub overall (Japanese episode 602, Bulbapedia code DP135). It first aired in Japan on 9 July 2009 and in the United States on 12 December 2009. It falls within the season’s South through Twinleaf Town stretch (EP134–EP142).
Synopsis
Ash and his friends enter a fake Pokémon Hustle audition run by Team Rocket, only for a pair of thieves to steal every contestant’s Poké Balls. On the road to Lilypad Town, Dawn spots a poster for auditions for her favourite show in Greenstation Town, unaware that Team Rocket organised the obstacle course to recruit new members.
Contestants are told to leave their Poké Balls in cubbyholes that secretly funnel them into a bag. Ash and Dawn cross the spinning logs and the swinging ropes while Brock falls in, and the mysterious duo Azure and Crimson and a woman with a Growlithe impress the watching trio. During a break the Poké Balls vanish, and the woman reveals herself as Officer Jenny, accusing the duo.
Team Rocket lead their prized recruits up a ramp and down a zipline, and the pursuers cut the line. Azure and Crimson declare themselves a team of two and blast Team Rocket with Drowzee and Zangoose. Jenny’s Growlithe recovers the Poké Balls, Buizel and Pikachu defeat the thieves’ Pokémon, and Jenny arrests the pair.
