Synopsis
The Sinnoh Grand Festival opens at Valor Lakefront, and every one of Dawn’s rivals except Kenny clears the Performance Stage. At the meet-and-greet Nando reveals seven Gym Badges, Kenny teases Dawn with her nickname, Ursula’s Plusle and Minun frizz Dawn’s hair, and Zoey renews her promise to meet Dawn in the final.
With 108 Coordinators, the appeals run on red, green and blue stages at once before judges including guest Fantina and three sister Nurse Joys. Ursula throws a Water Stone and a Fire Stone to evolve her two Eevee into Vaporeon and Flareon mid-performance, Nando’s Kricketot and Altaria combine Sing with Perish Song, and Zoey’s newly evolved Lumineon and Gastrodon raise water rings.
Jessilina flips onto Seviper and unveils a new outfit with Yanmega’s Silver Wind, but Kenny’s Floatzel and newly evolved Empoleon collide when Whirlpool collapses into Flash Cannon. Dawn’s Cyndaquil and Buneary finish by revealing Buneary inside an icy Poké Ball as snow falls. Thirty-two Coordinators advance, Kenny is eliminated, and he leaves vowing to cheer for Dawn.
