Synopsis
Ash helps a band of kindergartners keep the Trubbish they have adopted, and their teacher’s grandmother rewards him with a Pokémon Egg. The children, who call themselves the Trubbish Squad, pelt the travellers with mud, and their teacher Daniela insists the smelly Trubbish must go back to the scrapyard, while the children build it a secret base from junk.
Ash offers to mediate, but the squad’s leader Avery takes his hat and holds him hostage in their treehouse, where he and Pikachu win the children over. Meanwhile, Team Rocket receive a dummy Meteonite from a contact. When the sunglasses Sandile Ash met earlier attacks, the squad and Trubbish drive it off with Toxic Spikes and Sludge Bomb.
Daniela still wants Trubbish gone, so Ash battles her Deerling, which accidentally brings the junk base crashing down. Trubbish destroys the falling debris with Sludge Bomb, and Daniela lets it stay. Her grandmother Karena, who runs a Day Care, explains that Trubbish stops smelling once it makes friends, and gives Ash an Egg.
