Synopsis
Ash and his friends join Ingo and Emmet in a high-speed chase to recover the stolen Pokémon from Team Rocket’s Ghost Train, and Tepig learns Flamethrower in the season finale. Cilan reasons that the real train has escaped above ground from the Anville Town railyard, and the Bosses join the pursuit.
Inside the Ghost Train, Pikachu calms Axew and frees Snivy, who releases Excadrill, Pansage and the others. Dwebble carves a hole in the cage door, Roggenrola and Tepig break the coupling, and Snivy flips a track switch so the second car escapes as Team Rocket give chase in Dr. Zager’s helicopter.
Emmet’s Eelektross speeds up the friends’ car and Ingo’s Chandelure lifts them aboard with Psychic, reuniting them with their Pokémon. Snivy damages the helicopter’s blades, Pikachu destroys its cargo hooks, Tepig unleashes Flamethrower and Chandelure destroys the locomotive. Team Rocket flee vowing revenge, the subway is restored, and Ash prepares to challenge Elesa at the Nimbasa Gym.
