Synopsis
Caught in a blizzard, Ash and his friends meet a Froslass who holds Piplup and Meowth hostage until they find her missing Snorunt. Team Rocket shelter in a cabin that turns out to be Froslass’s illusion, and the group are lured there too; Froslass freezes Piplup after a hot bath and Meowth soon afterwards.
Because a human once betrayed her, Froslass will release the hostages only if Snorunt is found, so Ash and Team Rocket search together. Wobbuffet and Staravia spot it, but a Glalie seizes it, and its Trainer, a poacher, reveals that Snorunt sell well on the black market and locks it in a cage behind his snowmobile.
Ash and Team Rocket battle the poacher, but Glalie’s Protect and Gyro Ball defeat Buneary and wear down Chimchar. Froslass joins in, and at Ash’s request she and Chimchar combine Shadow Ball and Flame Wheel, knocking the poacher and Glalie into the cage. Froslass thaws Piplup and Meowth, apologises and shows the travellers the way to town.
