Synopsis
Ash and his friends rescue Looker and Team Rocket from Fuego Ironworks, where Team Galactic have forged the Red Chain from the stolen Veilstone meteorites. In Floaroma Town the group learn the next Contest will be in Daybreak Town, then find an injured Meowth, who explains that Jessie and James were captured with Looker after following a Team Galactic helicopter.
Looker explains that the abandoned factory, once Sinnoh’s largest, has been used to make the Red Chain, while on Mount Coronet Saturn’s Toxicroak uncovers the gateway to Spear Pillar. Flying in Team Rocket’s balloon, the friends battle Golbat and Commander Jupiter’s Skuntank on the roof, and Jupiter reveals that Team Galactic know which Lake Guardian each of them has met.
Jupiter escapes by helicopter with Charon and the Red Chain, and the group free Looker, Jessie and James. A Red Chain fragment Looker sends for analysis destroys the International Police database. Cyrus, holding the Adamant Orb, Lustrous Orb and Red Chain, heads for Spear Pillar and orders Pokémon Hunter J to capture the Lake Guardians.
