Synopsis
Ash and his friends help Rhyanna search for a Dusk Stone to evolve her Misdreavus, hoping it will reconcile her with her estranged brother Mitchell. Lost in a forest on the way to Sunyshore City, the group are tricked by a Murkrow’s Confuse Ray into seeing Giratina and a flood, before Rhyanna rescues them and explains that the Murkrow belongs to Mitchell.
Mitchell left to train on a mountain and refuses to speak to her, so Rhyanna wants Mismagius to bring him happiness. While the group search an old shrine, Murkrow attacks Piplup and is knocked out by Pikachu, and Ash convinces the angry Mitchell that he has been pushing Murkrow too hard instead of working with it.
Misdreavus finds the Dusk Stone beneath a rock, but Team Rocket seize it with their “Porta-Pidgey” robot. Staraptor saves Rhyanna, Murkrow breaks the robot’s hand and frees Misdreavus, and Pikachu blasts the trio off. The siblings reconcile, Rhyanna decides Misdreavus need not evolve, and Mitchell challenges her to a ten-battle series for the stone.
