The Battle Finale of Legend! is the 47th episode of Pokémon DP: Galactic Battles, the twelfth season of the Pokémon anime, and the 614th episode of the English dub overall (Japanese episode 619, Bulbapedia code DP152). It first aired in Japan on 12 November 2009 and in the United States on 10 April 2010. It falls within the season’s Team Galactic’s endgame stretch (EP148–EP152).
Synopsis
At Spear Pillar, Cyrus summons Dialga and Palkia to create a new world, but Ash, Dawn and Brock free the Lake Guardians and stop him, and Team Galactic’s Commanders are arrested. Repelled at headquarters, the friends are flown to Spear Pillar, while Cynthia’s Garchomp frees them from Team Galactic’s grip and Looker and Team Rocket are caught in disguise.
Cyrus places the Adamant and Lustrous Orbs and the controlled trio around the altar, and Charon’s Red Chain cannon calls forth the chained Dialga and Palkia. Pikachu, Piplup and Croagunk destroy the cannon, Croagunk beats Toxicroak with Brick Break, and the friends free the Lake Guardians from their fragments.
When Dialga and Palkia open a portal, Cyrus betrays Saturn and Mars and steps through alone, disappearing as it shrinks. A black hole of their combined energy threatens Sinnoh until Ash and Azelf destroy it with Explosion, Brock and Uxie calm the pair, and Dawn and Mesprit heal them. The Legendaries return home, the Orbs are recovered, and Saturn, Mars and Jupiter are arrested.
