Dancing With the Ducklett Trio! is the 20th episode of Pokémon: Black & White, the fourteenth season of the Pokémon anime, and the 673rd episode of the English dub overall (Japanese episode 678, Bulbapedia code BW020). It first aired in Japan on 24 February 2011 and in the United States on 18 June 2011. It falls within the season’s Pinwheel Forest to Castelia City stretch (EP18–EP23).
Synopsis
The sunglasses Sandile returns for a rematch with Pikachu, while a thieving trio of Ducklett runs the group ragged, and by the end Pikachu has a new move and Sandile has evolved. While Cilan cooks lunch, the ground gives way under Ash and Pikachu, who slide down a tunnel dug by Sandile, which is eager to fight again.
Above ground, a Ducklett steals Cilan’s pan and hits Oshawott and Iris with Scald, sending them on a chase, while Excadrill refuses to help and Pansage cannot reach Ash. Pikachu’s Electric moves are useless against the Ground-type Sandile, and the Ducklett knock off its sunglasses, steal Ash’s hat and attack with Ice Beam and Wing Attack.
When the Ducklett turn on Sandile, Ash and Pikachu, Pikachu learns Electro Ball and sends the trio flying, and the friends recover their belongings. At the Pokémon Center Sandile challenges Pikachu once more, evolves into Krokorok mid-battle, and still loses to Electro Ball before the group continue towards Castelia City.
