Synopsis
A Roggenrola wearing a strange device leads Ash’s group to Team Rocket’s latest scheme in a cave, and Ash catches it at the end of the adventure. The Roggenrola crashes into their pie and dodges Oshawott before knocking itself out, then beats Tepig with Sandstorm and Stone Edge, and Cilan spots the device strapped to its back.
At the Pokémon Center, Mr. Garrison of the water company explains that the spring water feeding the town has stopped flowing from a cave, and he joins the group to investigate. Inside, Team Rocket’s machine is controlling captured Roggenrola to power a weapon for Dr. Zager.
Tepig frees one of the Roggenrola, which shields everyone from a rockslide with Flash Cannon, and when Team Rocket seal the exit, Excadrill and Pansage dig a tunnel out. The Roggenrola resists the machine, deflects Team Rocket’s blast and frees the others, and the trio are driven off. Back at the Center, Roggenrola asks to join Ash, who catches it after a battle with Tepig.
