Plot episodeClubsplosion, part 3Bianca beats Trip
A Clubsplosion of Excitement! is the 24th episode of Pokémon: BW Rival Destinies, the fifteenth season of the Pokémon anime, and the 725th episode of the English dub overall (Japanese episode 730, Bulbapedia code BW072). It first aired in Japan on 29 March 2012 and in the United States on 28 July 2012. It falls within the season’s The Clubsplosion stretch (EP70–EP73).
Synopsis
Bianca knocks Trip out of the Clubsplosion, and the second round decides the semi-finalists. Emboar catches Conkeldurr’s Stone Edge, flings the stones back and then hurls Conkeldurr’s own pillars at it for a decisive hit, and a humbled Trip vows to beat Ash next time.
In the second round, Stephan’s Sawk overpowers Cilan’s Pansage with Close Combat and Low Sweep before Cilan can finish his evaluation, to Burgundy’s delight. Ash’s Scraggy, called a pipsqueak by Betty, holds off Simipour’s Aqua Tail and Brick Break; its Focus Blast still misses, but Headbutt and High Jump Kick win the match.
Bianca’s Emboar shrugs off Georgia’s Bisharp’s Metal Sound and Iron Head and wins with Flamethrower, which Georgia says doesn’t count because Emboar is not a Dragon-type. Montgomery’s Throh then counters Iris’s Excadrill at every turn, lifting it out of its Dig with Superpower and finishing it with Seismic Toss. The semi-finals are set: Stephan against Bianca and Ash against Montgomery.
