Synopsis
Clemont’s overfed Chespin wanders off to an elderly couple’s cottage, where it ends up battling Wylie’s Delphox and reconciling with its Trainer. Camping for the night, Serena finds her macarons gone, eaten by Chespin, so Ash proposes a battle for exercise: Froakie’s Bubble and Pound beat the stuffed Chespin, and Dedenne wins after Chespin slips.
Lured by a delicious smell, Chespin wanders into the forest while Clemont builds an exercise machine that explodes in the morning. The group find Chespin asleep at the cottage of Carrie, who is baking macarons, and the guilty Clemont decides to leave it there. Carrie’s husband, Wylie, returns from a tournament wanting a macaron, and Carrie challenges him with Chespin as her “secret weapon”.
Wylie’s Delphox uses Will-O-Wisp and Flamethrower, and Clemont blocks one blast with his Aipom Arm and takes over the battle. Chespin rolls off its extra weight, its Overgrow Ability activates, and Vine Whip knocks the stick from Delphox’s hand, until Wylie hurts his back calling for Mystical Fire and Carrie stops the match. Wylie apologises with a cake, the couple make up, and Chespin and Clemont reconcile.
