Synopsis
At Ambrette Town’s Fossil Lab the group meet a revived Amaura and Aurorus, and when Team Rocket kidnap the heat-sensitive Amaura, Aurorus leads the rescue. Alexa, writing about the lab’s new discovery, joins the group, and researcher Thaddeus shows them a freezer room where an Amaura and an Aurorus, revived from a Sail Fossil found in ice, now live.
Team Rocket spy with a flying camera, lure Amaura into their truck with a game of tag and flee when Aurorus wails. Thaddeus warns that Amaura is weak to heat, and Aurorus follows the aurora created by Amaura’s cries; inside the truck the heater weakens Amaura and the aurora fades, until a flat tire and Aurorus’s call brighten it again, and Aurorus freezes a river so the group can cross.
Chespin battles Inkay, Meowth’s Fury Swipes stops Fennekin’s Hidden Power, and Aurorus freezes Meowth with Blizzard. Aurorus takes a Thunderbolt reflected by Wobbuffet’s Mirror Coat, freezes Team Rocket, and Pikachu blasts them away. Aurorus curls around the collapsed Amaura to cool it, Amaura recovers, and back at the lab it plays in the snow, giving Alexa her story.
